While both options restrict access to your account, they serve different purposes and have different long-term effects.
Account Closure
This is a reversible option for customers who wish to stop playing temporarily or permanently for general reasons.
- Access: Your account is deactivated; you cannot deposit or play, but you can still withdraw your balance.
- Reopening: You can request to reopen your account at any time, subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period.
- Data: Your data remains in our system to facilitate a quick return and for regulatory record-keeping.
- How to: Go to My Account → Profile → Player Protection → Account Closure.
Account Deletion (Right to Erasure)
This is a permanent request based on data privacy rights.
- Access: Your account is permanently closed. You will not be able to log in again or create a new account in the future.
- Data: Your personal data will be erased or anonymized, except where we are legally required to retain it (e.g., for financial or regulatory compliance).

How to:
- Visit Account Deletion within the Account→ Privacy Settings → Account Deletion.
- If you cannot access your account, send an email to dpo-office@betano.ca with the subject "Delete Data", including your username. The request must be sent from your registered email address.
