How does the "Both Teams to Score or Over 2.5 Goals" market work?

Since this market is famous on many betting sites and not all are set the same, we will now explain how it is settled on Betano and why.

The market has two betting options, Yes or No.

• For the selection Yes, the bet is a winner when both teams score or more than 2.5 goals are scored in the match.
  • This means that:
    • If both teams score, the bet is won.
    • If there are more than 2.5 goals in the match, the bet is won.
       
• For the selection No, the bet is a winner when neither of the above happens, which is one of the following scores: 2-0, 1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 0-2.
  • This means that:
    • If both teams score, the bet is lost.
    • If there are more than 2.5 goals in the match, the bet is lost.
    • If neither team scores in the match, the bet is won.

You may be wondering why there's an "or" in the market title. The logic behind it is simple: we can't offer the same result on two markets for two different answer options (Yes or No).

That means if Both Teams to Score settles Yes as the winner, then for No, we can only settle it as won if both teams don't score.

Likewise, if Over 2.5 Goals settles Yes as the winner, then for No, we can only settle it as won if the match does not reach 2.5 goals.
